Getting started

What does Velatura mean?

Velatura is a centuries-old painting technique: delicate, translucent layers applied one over another to create depth and luminosity. Rather than masking what lies beneath, each layer enhances what is already present. It is the practice’s founding philosophy—care layered with intention so the plan remains balanced, natural, and authentically yours.

Do I need to know which treatment I want before booking?

No. Your consultation is designed to clarify your priorities and identify appropriate options. You can begin with a goal or concern rather than a treatment name.

What happens during a consultation?

Velatura reviews your goals, relevant history, preferences, timeline, and budget; performs an individualized assessment; discusses options and alternatives; and outlines a realistic plan.

Does Velatura see pediatric patients?

No. Velatura serves adults age 18 and older and does not provide pediatric evaluation, treatment, or wellness care.

Where is Velatura located?

Velatura Medical Aesthetics & Wellness is at 3433 S West Shore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33629, in South Tampa. Visits are by appointment only; book online, call (813) 686-6536, or text (813) 686-7144.

When is Velatura expected to open?

Velatura’s target opening date is August 11, 2026. Online booking is now available through Aesthetic Record.

Who founded Velatura and who performs care?

Stephanie Adams, APRN, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and licensed esthetician, founded Velatura and provides its clinician-directed care. Every service is subject to an individual evaluation, appropriate consent, and the provider’s clinical judgment.

How do I book a Velatura consultation?

Use any Book button on this website to schedule securely through Velatura’s Aesthetic Record booking page.

Can I receive treatment during my first visit?

It may be possible when the service, timing, consent process, and clinical evaluation support it. Treatment on the same day is never required or guaranteed.

What is the difference between Medical Aesthetics and Wellness?

Medical Aesthetics focuses on individualized injectable and skin-focused care. Wellness focuses on ongoing clinician-led evaluation, metabolic health, medical weight-management support, and healthy-aging planning. Both are part of one Velatura practice.

Pricing transparency

Does Velatura accept insurance?

No. All Velatura services and products are self-pay, and Velatura does not accept or bill health insurance. Payment is due under the terms shown during booking or checkout. You may always request an estimate of expected charges before care; Velatura does not guarantee reimbursement from any health plan.

How much does a consultation cost?

Consultation pricing and any policy for applying that fee toward treatment will be published after the final fee schedule is approved. You may ask about current pricing before booking.

How much do treatments cost?

Pricing depends on the clinically appropriate service, product, amount, and individualized plan. Final service prices will be published after approval. You may ask Velatura to review expected charges before proceeding.

Can I ask for an estimate before care?

Yes. You may request a written estimate of expected charges for scheduled medical items and services. An estimate covers only the items and services identified in it, and actual charges can differ if the treatment plan changes.

Does Velatura offer financing?

Ask us about payment options during your consultation.

Treatment expectations

Are treatment results guaranteed?

No. Candidacy, response, timing, duration, downtime, and results vary by patient. Before treatment, your provider reviews the expected benefits, material risks, alternatives, and aftercare for the individualized plan. No specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Does Velatura prescribe semaglutide or tirzepatide for weight management?

Velatura begins with an individualized medical evaluation. If weight-management medication is clinically appropriate, the provider may discuss available options, risks, benefits, alternatives, monitoring, and separate medication costs. A request or consultation never guarantees semaglutide, tirzepatide, another medication, or a prescription.

Which injectable and skincare brands does Velatura use?

Velatura will publish only products it has selected and is prepared to offer. Brand availability can change, and a brand request does not determine clinical appropriateness. Your provider recommends a product only after an individualized assessment.

When do neuromodulator results appear and how long can they last?

General education only: changes may begin within about 3–7 days, and the effect often lasts around 3–4 months. Product, treatment area, dose, metabolism, and individual response matter; timing and duration vary and no result is guaranteed.

How long can redness last after microneedling?

General education only: redness and a sunburn-like sensation are often most noticeable during the first 24–72 hours, but skin reactions can last several days or longer. The treatment plan, skin, aftercare, and individual response vary.

How long can swelling last after dermal filler?

General education only: swelling and bruising are common after filler and can take 1–2 weeks, sometimes longer, to settle. Product, area, amount, health factors, and individual response vary. Follow the post-treatment instructions and designated clinical contact guidance you receive.
